About and about fitting adjustable sidepull riding halters
Adjustable sidepull riding halters do not have any tightening or squeezing action and therefore a very mild option and more forgiving fit wise.
The design is just like a rope halter you can still lead and tie from the tie loops with the bonus of rings set into the side nose knots and a removable/adjustable chinstrap.
The chinstrap has a padded sleeve to keep it soft under the chin and easily ties on and adjusts with a basic overhand knot.
The chinstrap keeps the sidepull action lower and helps prevent the noseband rolling/twisting on the horses nose as a normal halter with sidepull rings would tend to.
They suit horses that can already be ridden in a halter and are also great for lead ponies, kids lunge lessons, starting young horses, trail riding and endurance.
Your sidepull will come with an instruction sheet showing how to adjust the chinstrap. Below is an example of a well fitted adjustable sidepull.
